10 Year Anniversary Trip with Vow Renewal to Sonoma CA
What was your favorite part of the booking process with Alexandra?
The ease of all the planning and how SPECIAL she made the trip!
Even from the way the itinerary was sent, it felt special. Alexandra answered all my questions quickly, never made it seem like an inconvenience or a problem no matter the request.
What, if any, little touch did Alexandra add into your package that made you feel like a VIP?
We stayed in 3 different hotels during our CA trip. Each hotel had something special from Alexandra!
We enjoyed a wonderful bottle of bubbly at our first stop as well as an upgraded room! Our 2nd spot had an outsanding bottle of red and snacks waiting for us in our room. Our 3rd spot she made sure we had a seaside view from our balcony where we got to enjoy a smooth white on our last night.
While on our wine tasting advenures, each spot knew our names and that we were celebrating our 10 year, curtesy of Alexandra :)
What was your favorite experience/ MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT of the trip?
Hands down our 10 Year Vow Renewal!
Alexandra planned the most indredible night. I didn’t really know what to expect as we’d never been to wine country before. We had a small ceremony with a photographer and minister. They all made us feel so special! After the cermony we took the most gorgeous photos then got to enjoy a private meal. We sat outside overlooking the vineyard, listened to music, drank amazing wine, and ate some of the best food I’ve hever had. The ladies who owned the winery made us feel like family. They gave us a [private] tour and talked abou their story. They filled our glasses every time we asked and even put on our wedding song from our first dance. Alexandra had a driver for us to take us back to our hotel [she thought of everything! She even bought us a cake to mark the occasion!] The whole night was PERFECT!
What did you learn from this trip?
That I need to take more trips! I had only used a travel agent one time before this. I learned what a big value they [travel designers] are. Alexandra planned everything. I didn’t have to make a single phone call or confirm anything. She booked dinners, tastings, drivers, hotels, etc. Not having to do all of that allwed me (and my husband) to just enjoy ourselves.

The Magic
Without giving too much away, the original vineyard we had chosen for Leslie & Jake’s vow renewal needed to be changed at the last minute. There’s nothing like a giant venue changing, officiant changing, menu changing, date changing (hopefully the photographer can still make that work), nail-biting, curveball to keep a travel designer on her toes!
This one really got my blood pumping, but I shine under pressure! If there’s one thing that a global pandemic has taught me, it’s to expect the unexpected.
The venue that we manifested for this momentous occasion was pure magic!
As fate would have it, the vineyard that I chose to replace our first option, had a connection to Leslie & Jake that even I could never have imagined. The owners of this alternate winery were originally from the same small suburb of Chicago that Leslie & Jake hail from. They, in fact, lived so close to each other that Leslie & Jake actually attended school with the owners’ son! There was an instant connection to home for everyone at Capo Creek Winery in Healdsburg, CA that day.
I feel so fortunate to have been able to play a small part in orchestrating the magic for this romantic celebration.
I received a text from Leslie on this day, relaying all of these little details to me. [These are the only kinds of texts I like to receive from clients while they are in destination lol.]
She and I both believe it was meant to be!
